Case study overview

BOP Vapour Blasting Ltd, based in Tauranga New Zealand, purchased the Aquablast 1215 machine to provide surface treatment solutions to industries such as Automotive, Marine, Industrial and Aerospace. As well as blasting the equipment, they even take the time out of blasting to go collect the parts themselves. BOP chose vapour blasting to remove dirt: corrosion and contamination without causing any damage to the delicate components they process. Another reason BOP purchased the Aquablast machine is to clean the surfaces very easily and to prevent marks if the parts come into contact with oil and other substances.

Vixen’s Aquablast range is designed to simultaneously blast and degrease components in a quick and easy, dust free process. The advantage of wetblasting is the water acts as a lubricant between media and components so it cleans by flow and not by impact, therefore the surface of the part will not be affected. The large opening side door is fitted with a rubber, bulb type seal and a slam shut door with a large a chrome handle for operator ease.

Lee Brotherton from BOP Vapour blasting Ltd New Zealand said:

“I am very happy with the Aquablast 1215 machine we purchased from Vixen; this machine is robust, reliable and does a fantastic job on a wide range of parts! I mainly restore vintage motorcycle and motor parts, but we also gain good results on boat fittings and antique coffee machines etc”

He then went onto say:

“The Vixen machine arrived in a timely manner and we received excellent customer service throughout the full process.”
